ABOUT THESE SEEDS: Gorgeous purple pigmented plants that grow to about 24” with pretty purple flowers and fruits that emerge dark green and purple, eventually ripening to bright red. They are moderately spicy, a '4' on a scale of 1-5.This exceptionally ornamental pepper is also one of the hottest we have encountered. Two-foot plants are covered with dozens and dozens of light purple blossoms which turn into dark purple, thin peppers about 3” long.Cayenne Purple Pepper Seeds - 30,000-50,000 Scovilles: Beautiful Cayenne Purple Peppers are impressive not only for their appearance but also for their delicious taste. Sow seeds in flats or pots 8 to 10 weeks prior to the expected outdoor planting date. Sow them shallowly, around 1/4 inch deep. Hot peppers, and especially super-hot peppers, have a well-earned reputation for being finicky to germinate, but you can increase germination rates by providing bottom heat (highly suggested).
