Description: New CD, Fourth item in the Polish Radio Jazz Archives radio series. This album begins with two more unknown recordings of the Sextet of Komeda from 1957, recorded on Polish Radio Gdańsk. The next two were recorded on Polish Radio Poznań, including one of K.Komeda's early compositions co-authored by Jan Wróblewski entitled "That Second". Another recording was used in the film 'Innocent Wizards' and recorded by the composer's quartet on Polish Radio in Warsaw in 1959. Further recordings involve Swedish saxophonist Bernt Rosengren and Krzysztof Komeda Trio - these are compositions from the film "Knife in the Water" recorded on the Polish Radio in Warsaw and during the Jazz Jamboree'61 festival. The album ends with four recordings of the Krzysztof Komeda Trio recorded during the Jazz Jamboree’62 festival. These are: "The First Jazz Ballet Etude", a melody from Frank Churchill's "Alice in Wonderland" and two compositions from the film "Knife in the Water". Together with Krzysztof Komeda playing the piano, the recording was attended by: Roman "Gucio" Dyląg on double bass and Rune Carlson - on drums. if you are looking for some others polish releases please let me know :)
