When the insoluble test strip is placed on the tongue, seven out of ten people detect a taste while the other three do not taste anything. The test strip measures approximately 1.5 x .25 inches (H x W). (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right.)
