Page contains x-inch photos of the actors and actresses as well as accompanying information on their credits and/or physical attributes. PAULETTE GODDARD (1911-1990) was an American actress. A former teen Broadway chorus girl, she first attracted attention when she was featured reclining on a prop crescent moon in the 1928 Ziegfeld musical, Rio Rita. Goddard reportedly made several two-reel comedies for Hal Roach (in a blond wig) before being featured as a "Goldwyn Girl" in Eddie Cantor's film, Kid from Spain, in 1932. She shot to stardom when she was cast by Charlie Chaplin in his 1936 film, Modern Times. Goddard also won Chaplin's heart as well as the role, but there were questions as to whether the two were ever legally married, and her relationship with Chaplin cost her a role she had truly coveted: Scarlett O'Hara in the 1939 epic, Gone With the Wind. Goddard, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for So Proudly We Hail (1943), also appeared in such films as The Great Dictator (1940) and Reap the Wild Wind (1942) before making her final film, the French/Italian movie Gli Indifferenti (Time of Indifference), in 1964. She was coaxed out of retirement for a made-for-TV movie, The Snoop Sisters, in 1972. It wasn't until the early 1950s that GLORIA GRAHAME (1923-1981) came into her own as a sexy leading lady. In fact, she started out playing largely unsympathetic characters such as fallen women or cheating wives. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Crossfire (1947), Grahame went on to win the Oscar for the role of Rosemary Bartlow in The Bad and the Beautiful (1952). However, soon after, her career slowed down and she retired from the screen in the late 1950s, returning to stage work. Years later she took up playing character roles, mostly in low-budget films. Stage, screen and television actor FARLEY GRANGER (1925-2011) is best known to television audiences for his work on soap operas, including One Life to Live (1976-1977), The Edge of Night (1980), and As the World Turns (1986-1987). One of the last Goldwyn contract players, Granger had made his film debut in The North Star in 1943. After a stint in WWII, he returned to acting, making both Hollywood and Italian films. His other TV work includes appearances on early anthologies (from 1953) and guest starring roles on series through 1990. He also made a brief Broadway comeback in Deathtrap in 1980. PETER GRAVES (1926-2010), born Peter Aurness, appeared in 130 movies, TV shows and video games between 1951 and 2010, but is probably best known as James Phelps, the leader of an elite covert operations unit on the weekly TV adventure series Mission: Impossible (1967-1973). The role earned him a Golden Globe in 1971 and an Emmy Award nomination. (He also reprised Phelps in a revamp of the series, which lasted from 1988 to 1990.) Modern audiences may know him as a presenter on the long-running documentary series Biography (1994-2006). Graves often played straight-arrow, authoritative figures, which the team of Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker brilliantly lampooned with Captain Clarence "Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?" Oveur in Airplane! (1980) and its sequel Airplane II: The Sequel (1982). Graves paid his dues in a long string of B-movies before Mission: Impossible. One of his more memorable roles from this period was a Nazi spy in the war movie classic Stalag 17 (1953). Mystery Science Theatre 3000 fans may recognize Graves from no less than five movies savaged by Joel, Mike and the 'bots: It Conquered the World (1956), Beginning of the End (1957), Attack of the Eye Creatures (1965), SST: Death Flight (1977), and Parts: The Clonus Horror (1979). He was the younger brother of actor James Arness. Screen and television actress COLEEN GRAY (1922-2015), born Doris Bernice Jensen, starred in films of the late 1940s and 1950s and in supporting parts thereafter. Her prominent films included Kiss and Death (1947), Red River (1948), Kansas City Confidential (1952), Tennessee's Partner (1955), and The Killing (1956). Gray was last seen on the big screen in Cry from the Mountain in 1985, and she made her last television appearance the following year, guest starring on an episode of Tales from the Darkside in 1986. Binding holes at right edge. Edges worn, with paper removal along top edge. Toned, especially at edges. Otherwise, fine condition.
