Description: Collectible 1996 limited edition re-issue rhodoid disc dress by Paco Rabanne is a stunning "Do It Yourself" kit version of the iconic 1966 piece. The signature style was introduced in his first haute couture collection, titled "12 Unwearable Dresses in Contemporary Materials.” Revolutionary for creating space age fashion out of non-traditional materials such as plastics and metal, this dress is now included in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's permanent collection and is listed in Marie Claire's "50 Dresses That Changed Fashion.' In 1996 Paco Rabanne released a limited edition "Do It Yourself" version of the dress consisting of discs and metal rings in a little plastic suitcase. Photographed by Guy Bourdain on Donyale Luna for Vogue 1966. Paco Rabanne just showed this style of dress in their anniversary FW 23 runway show in Paris. Dress is assembled and fits a size 36 FR. Can be altered to fit larger or small. Comes with extra kit. The dress is light gold.
