It comes with the original rails that have had extensions welded on to accommodate a larger (longer) mattress at some point in it's life. The welds are solid and secure. Width of the bed is 54" with a headboard height of 59-1/4" and a foot board height of 48". The rails are 74-1/2" long. In the pictures you will notice an orange ratchet strap at the bottom and pieces of wood in between the feet. That is simply how we display in our store so it can be freestanding without have to lean against a wall.
