The numbers stamped into the choke tower are as follows: C8OF-9510-AB List 4168 851. The C8OF-9510-AB is the Ford part number. The list 4168 is the Holley part number. The 851 is the date code. The date decodes as the 3st week of May 1968. That's right, this is a real deal production line dated 1968 428 Cobra Jet carb. Talk about a hard to find unit! This carb is in good original condition overall. The carb is appears complete and all parts move. The front metering block is stamped 5673 and the rear is stamped 5671. I removed the bowls and metering blocks to show the internals are clean and complete. This carb has been in storage for decades and will need rebuilding/restoration before it can be used. These factory high performance carbs have become nearly impossible to find, especially in this unrestored condition. There is no question this carb is a real deal original part, that is not something you can say about a lot of the restored units that are out there today.
