Description: Besides what can be considered the first printing of Albert Camus story, The Guest, this magazine issue which has a section on Mass Communications also has pieces written by David Riesman, Catherine Drinker Bowen, Oscar Handlin, Yousuf Karsh, Alfred Knopf, Steve Allen, Edwin Land, Vance Packard and Richard Hughes. The Camus story was also published in 1957 in The Exile and the Kingdom, a group of six stories by Camus. Marguerite Cohn, the legendary New York rare book dealer, told me in 1957 that she considered the storys publication in the Atlantic to be its true first printing. The magazine, containing 188 pages, is 11 by 8 inches in size. It is in very good condition with only very minor signs of its age and slight chipping at the top of the spine. It has been kept protected in an envelope since its publication. Returns are accepted if there is a significant error in our description. Item must be in same condition as when shipped.
