Description: An ORIGINAL music industry collectible offered from InTimeWithMusicApproximate Age: [40-48 YEARS]MUSSER GOOD VIBES Mallets Model 75 Rattan Hard Rubber RARE Age is unknown. They are likely 1975 to 1985Comments: After doing a lot of research these mallets do not seem to exist, at least not on the internet. I checked most of the catalogs from 1975 when Good Vibes first appeared until 1984. They may have missed publications or they may have been a sale's sample. I don't know. Maybe a collector can determine the date and origin. Here's what Ludwig had to say about the mallets in 1980..."Good Vibes, the world's finest professional line of mallets are precison made in Ludwig's Musser division. Handles are light, genuine rattan, carefully selected and matched for size, weight and flex. Long a favorite of most outstanding vibists."Handles: The length not including the heads is 14 Inches. The total length is just shy of 15 inches. The diameter of the rattan is 5/16 inches.Heads: They have an unusual elliptical shape made of hard rubber. Most rubber mallets from this era had round heads. Their diameter is 1.25 inches. Their width is .75 Inch Notes: Both are original. No repairs been done.
