Description: Murphy Bros. Weiss Pony Squat Blob Beer Bottle Syracuse NY c 1900. Rare bottle from circa 1900 from Syracuse NY Brewery. Very few sold over the years and this one more rare as it still has ceramic Murhph Bros. stopper (missing metal bale) Online information indicates brewery open from 1897-1904 at 110 Grand Ave. in Syracuse, NY. Back heel of bottle displays: DOC 89, D. O. Cunningham Glass Co. Bottle does appear to have been "Dug" and does show wear from such. Washed bottle with some warm water to remove dirt, did not go beyond that, will be up to new owner to clean further or not. Some of original white raised letter still present, but mostly gone. While stopper appears loose, remnants of cork still attached. Beyond that there is one small chip on bottom of bottle as shown in image. Have only seen one other bottle with the ceramic stopper.
