Description: Montana State Prison Jewelry Made By Bernard Pease / Innocence Project This is a new and never worn piece made by an inmate (Bernard Pease) at the Montana State Prison. From a smoke free home. Taken out of baggie to take pictures and measure only. It is a colorful tiny glass micro seed bead necklace made with real bone tube beads and a real polished agate stone pendant. There are tiny micro metal accent beads as well as round amber colored glass beads. The date it was sold in the Montana State Prison Hobby Store was 7/24/14. Unknown if that was also the year it was made. Measures approximately 28” long. There is no clasp, it just goes over the head. Some research: It was found that Bernard is part of the Montana Innocence Project and that he was wrongly convicted and incarcerated for almost 40 years. He was subsequently released due to 2 law students finding the evidence testing against him was invalid. His conviction is in the process of being overturned. While in prison he did many forms of art (jewelry being one them) to help his spirits and earn some money during the time he served. Please contact with questions. Check out our other store listings!
