Description: This is the December 1954 issue of McCall’s. It has a wonderful Christmas-themed cover with Santa, ornaments, a Christmas tree and stocking. A few of the many articles/features are listed on the cover; there are many more inside, as well as short stories and color/black & white photos and many vintage advertisements. The magazine contains 132 pages and measures approximately 10.75 x 13.75 inches. (See photos for some of the contents.) The magazine is quite heavy; therefore, it will have to be shipped USPS Ground Advantage, a relatively expensive service. I will pay for part of the shipping cost. McCall's was a monthly women's magazine, published by the McCall Corporation that enjoyed great popularity through much of the 20th century, peaking at a readership of 8.4 million in the early 1960s. The publication was established as a small-format magazine called The Queen in 1873. In 1897 it was renamed McCall's Magazine—The Queen of Fashion (later shortened to McCall's) and subsequently grew in size to become a large-format glossy. It was one of the "Seven Sisters" group of women's service magazines.
