Description: This Large figural Harlequin Table lamp was made by The Marbro Lamp Company of Los Angeles, in the 1950s-1960s. The figure is styled on the famous bronze sculpture by Rene de Paul de St Marceaux, made in 1879. It is made of plaster like casting stone and painted in gold and silver with black highlights. I believe the paint and design is original. Charles Rene De Saint-Marceaux was born in 1845 at Rhems, dying in Paris in 1915. He was a sculptor of genre subjects, animals & portrait busts. His creations were done in Bronze, Marble and Plaster. Oversized table lamp measures approximately 48" tall to top of finial.Base measures 11.25 in. x 12.25 in. Figure alone measures about 32" tall, not including base.Made of heavy plaster. Weight is about 42 lbs. The condition is Excellent. There is some minor wear at (2) of the corners on base (see last two pictures). Very minor wear commensurate with age and use.No breaks or restoration.Lamp is in excellent working order and can accept 3-way bulbs.Presents Beautifully….please see all pictures.
