Description: Hand crafted Spanish porcelain figurine of “Girl with Puppy” by Zaphir. The Zaphir collection was a relatively short-lived venture, from about 1978 to the early- to mid-1980s. The sculptor for this brand was Jose Puche, one of the famous core collection sculptors for Lladro. Many consider Zaphir as the precursor to the current Lladro NAO collection. “Girl with Puppy” sits approximately 8” tall and measures 3.5” x 2” across. She has been on display in a smoke-free home in an enclosed glass cabinet since being acquired in the early 1980s. She is in excellent condition. As shown in the picture the Zaphir stamp on the bottom is partially missing, but it is still obvious this is an original Zaphir piece.
