We are absolutely unable to send any member of the genus into the state, and will therefore not include any Caulerpa species in this sampler for California residents. Due to this, you may receieve duplicate green species if you order from California. In this package deal you will receive 5 different mystery algae species at a discounted price. You will receive: - Three (3) 2-3” cuttings of assorted red algae. - Two (2) 3-4” cuttings of assorted green species. ***California residents will NOT receive any Caulerpa species in their sampler due to the genus being restricted. If you order from California you MAY RECEIVE DUPLICATE GREEN SPECIMENS, but we will try and include two different species if possible!*** **If you need help ID’ing any species in your sampler please feel free to reach out! We respond very quickly & will be more than happy to help with any questions you may have :) ***We unfortunately cannot take any special requests for specific species as they may not be available in this package at a given time even if they are available elsewhere in our shop*** *Algae will be packaged together within their respective groups (one bag for the green algae, one for the red.) DOA Policy In all cases, unless otherwise stated in the description of a product, we will always replace or refund algae that arrive dead when shipped with Express shipping. Certain species, such as Halymenia and live invertebrates, are only guaranteed to arrive alive with UPS Next-Day air, and not with UPS 2nd-Day Air. DOA policies for individual species will be listed in the description of the algae. Algae marked as *sensitive* in the description will not be replaced if DOA when shipped with standard shipping. During winter months, ALL live algae orders are void of guarantee if shipped via standard shipping in temperatures of 60°F or less. During summer months, ALL live algae orders are void of guarantee if shipped via standard shipping in temperatures of 95°F or higher. We only offer LAG with Express shipping in such conditions. All DOA claims must come to us within two hours of delivery and must include clear photos of the algae within their sealed bags taken under white light or the LAG will be voided. Dead algae will crumble, melt, and smell foul. The following conditions are not considered DOA: - Algae that suffer minor breakage in transit. - Algae that show slight discoloration in transit. - Algae that seems pale initially. - Bag leaks or damage to the shipping box.
