LINGERIE BY BLANCHE 1940s BIAS CUT Peignoir Set Old Hollywood XXS Gown & Robe

Description: Absolutely gorgeous 1940s era sheer black peignoir set, includes full length nightgown and robe. Brand is Lingerie by Blanche. Unsure of material content, feels like silk chiffon, had they invented nylon material yet? The gown is very small, model shown is a size 000. It’s a little roomy on her in some places, but as most older gowns of this era, it slips over your head, and therefore can be tricky to get on and off. It usually requires the help of a second person. It’s 24” at the narrowest point, and you’ve got to be able to shimmy your arms and torso through that to get it on. Keep this in mind if you choose to bid. Models measurements for reference: Hip: 24 Waist: 22 Bust: 27 Shoulder: 13 Arm length: 20 Pant size: 000 Height: 5’8” The whole set is completely sheer. The gown is sleeveless and has black lace straps and lace along the waist and center of bust. The straps and below the bust have openings to expose skin. So scandalous for the 1940s. There is also lace trim along the bottom of the gown. The gown is 54” long. The robe also has some lace trim on it, along the waist, the bottom, end of cuffs, and along the placket. It has the cutest little puffed sleeves. The sleeves are long. There is a tie waist closure. The robe is also 54” long. This set is around 80 years old and is in excellent condition. I do not see any major flaws to note. There may be a pinhole I’ve missed, although after looking over both pieces I did not see any. Please see photo for more details and feel free to ask questions.
