Large Miniature (see photo for more details). Here we have some laboratory grown alum crystals; alum is hydrated potassium aluminum sulfate. Here we have some well formed and sharp bright pink colored lustrous gemmy to translucent octahedral crystals. The crystals form in a variety of different colors with the color dependent on various doping elements. Photography All of our photos are taken with a 75Watt GE True White incandescent bulb. (unless otherwise stated). Colors may vary if you look at our items in different wavelengths of light (under different bulbs). Small Cabinet - small cabinet specimens must fit completely inside an "imaginary" 3 inch cube. Look for -SCB in our titles. Cabinet - cabinet specimens are those larger than 3 inches. (too large to fit inside a 3 inch cube) Look for -CAB in our titles.
