Description: On offer is a Korean War souvenir silk hanky purchased by a US serviceman to take or send home as they were lightweight and easy to mail home. Silk handkerchief souvenirs were produced by South Korean cottage industries. Cottage industries allowed displaced poor and starving Korean civilians to make a living from Allied service personnel in their country. The hanky measures around 13.25” x 12.25” It is in very good condition with a few worn areas on the bottom edge and a few marks commensurate with its age as per the photos which form part of the description. We have another Korean War souvenir silk hanky and offer combined postage.
