Description: Comprising of an exquisite 17th Century Ottoman Iznik border tile. Underglazed in turquoise, blue, and orange on white ground, decorated with scrolling, intertwined lotus stems. Tiles of very similar characteristics were sold at Christies (image 10) and exibited at Harvard at Museum (image 11). Such tiles are of rarity and highly sought after by antique dealers and auction houses. Dimensions: 25cm by 12cm Provenance: Private UK art collection formed in 1970s. NOTES: The item has a crack in the middle. However; we believe that it is easily restorable with minimal signs. Please review photos carefully.
