Description: This Cincinnati Bengals Riddell mini helmet was signed by Isaac Curtis who was the wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1973 - 1984. Curtis is a 4X Pro Bowler and 3X 2nd Team All Pro. He was also a member of the Bengals 50th Anniversary Team and was inducted into the Bengals Ring of Honor in 2022. Isaac Curtis changed the game of NFL football after the 1973 season. Because of his incredible speed, no defensive backs could keep up with him. Opposing teams would double and triple cover him, often pushing and bumping him down the field. Due to this practice, Paul Brown appealed to the NFL Competition Committee for a rule change stating, "What good is it for us to have performers, if they aren't allowed to perform?" This led to the creation of the "Isaac Curtis Rule", which states that a defender is allowed to block a receiver within five yards of the line of scrimmage. After the initial yards, any contact will be considered holding and will result in a 5 yard penalty and automatic first down. These were signed with black paint pen in person at CEI Sports in Cincinnati Ohio at a public autograph signing held on September 24th, 2024.The is inscription ROH 22, commemorating his induction into the Cincinnati Bengals Ring of Honor in 2022.They come with the CEI Sports certificate of authenticity and are unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic. These mini helmets also feature the CEI Sports verification sticker.
