This beloved spirit comes from a Mishongnovi man, who was badly crippled yet always helped others in the village, and maintained an always joyful demeanor.This excellent example, dating from about 1980, and standing a tiny 3 inches tall, it is carved by the very well-known and highly respected Stacy Talahytewa, easily one of the most recognized female carvers. It's pose is brave and dignified, and it would look great in any Kachina doll collection.
