Description: HO Brass Southern Pacific C-8 2-8-0 #2733. Unpainted. Produced by Samhongsa of Korea in 1981. EXCELLENTSouthern Pacific’s extensive fleet of 2-8-0 ‘Consolidation’ steam locomotives included C-8 class cab #2733. While the first group of C-8's built for the SP came from Baldwin, #2733 was an Alco product of 1904. The handsome loco remained in service until the end of steam on the ESPEE in 1953.This superior model features well-assembled detail and a smooth mechanism. The nearly 45-year-old model is in Excellent overall condition. Please note that Engineer-side blow-down muffler casting is unsoldered - see image. Only very minor tarnish is visible at some solder joints. The model test runs smoothly, though has been in storage for most of its life and will benefit from basic servicing. The original box is provided in equally good condition, although the original foam packing material has been replaced.This distinctively SP steam loc is an ideal addition to your Western roster, whether to switch your yard traffic or haul your branch-line consist.
