Description: Helena Wolfsohn Dresden Hand Painted Watteau Scene Flowers Blue Ribbon & Gold Plate Nice porcelain plate. Decorated with hand painted flowers in purple and yellow and a blue ribbon above a courting couple scene. Has a molded fan/petal shape to the top of the dish with gold gilt highlights. Gold gilt scrollwork and diamond pattern around the edge. Has an impressed mark that reads Carl Knoll Carlsbad. This mark was used by Carl Knoll between 1848 and 1868. Also marked on the bottom with a blue crown D mark used by Helena Wolfsohn in Dresden Germany between 1886 and 1891. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 7 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
