Description: This Cape Florida Lighthouse is in great condition but the box and original papers are missing. Great gift for someone who has sentimental memories of this old beautiful lighthouse located at the Bill Baggs State Park in Key Biscayne, Florida. The original lighthouse was destroyed in a fight with the Seminole Indians in 1836. Damaged again during the Civil War by Confederate sympathizers. Replaced in 1878 by the Fowey Rocks light, the Cape Florida Lighthouse remained darkened until activated again in 1978. It's legacy endures!
