It's probably much better than that, but that's going to be for you to decide, based on my description and pictures uploaded. The front and back cover are probably in the high 'Acceptable' to low 'Good' range. It looks used, but certainly not abused. It's been held open, as you would expect a music book like this to be. The corners are a bit upturned. There's some light rub marks and very light scratches. Nothing is torn with the front and back cover-it just has that 'it's been held open and used a lot look' to it. Surprisingly, the pages are in good shape. There is no writing anywhere, and no highlighting. There are no bends in the pages that people like to do to mark their place in the book. Inside of book is in 'Good' or G+ condition. Maybe even VG. I've uploaded a few pictures to give you an idea of what to expect. Binding is solid and holding everything together very well. There are no loose pages. Want to save a few dollars? Buy used. Learn the music....then pass it on to the next guy...classic tunes..
