This listing includes 2 Greef (Schumacher) Fabrics screen printed cotton poplin fabric 1 sq. yd. samples, only. This is a high end fabric manufactured in 1979 in England. Each sample has the central part of the repeat, a pot of flowering plants, depicted almost perfectly centered. In addition, each features a series of much smaller coordinating fabric samples sewn to the samples across the middle of the lower quarter. The edge is protected with surge stitching which discourages raveling of the textile. These were created as showroom samples but show no obvious signs of handling. A label is affixed with staples to the top left side near the corner. The staples may leave corrosion on the fabric when removed. The fabric is slightly toned. Manufacturer. Total Yardage. 0.75 square yards approximate Total Weight. 15 oz. Notes. This fabric has a warm, and crisp hand and a matte surface. Feels quite nice. A note about color reproduction. Color is subjective. Any descriptors used to characterize color must to taken as a suggestion only, and not as definitive. Color reproduction is massively difficult and color management in most devices is implemented poorly. Apple devices handle color reasonably well. Microsoft Windows devices are all over the place; the same applies to Android devices. Those with Windows PC’s are strongly encouraged to enable Windows Color Management and install updated monitor drivers or download the ICC color space specific to the monitor and then configure Windows Color Management properly. If you are unsure how to check or configure, I am willing to assist. Unless a calibrated monitor is used, I recommend resetting the monitor back to factory standard configurations. For most flat screen monitors, color settings should be set to 5000K, daylight, or warm and the brightness setting should be high. For Android devices, the brightness adjustment slider should be pushed to the right. Any “night” or “bedtime” view settings which automatically filter much of the color blue on all platforms should be disabled.
