Description: This Girard-Perregaux Casquette wristwatch from 1976 features a unique asymmetrical design with a silver and Anthracite color scheme. The most reliable production number I have seen is 2000-2500 (about the lifetime of an injection mold); only a small fraction of those survive today...far fewer continue to remain fully working. Still looks as futuristic as it did nearly half a century ago, which I would suggest is a true test of a genuinely brilliant design. The modern 2.0 version does not do proper justice to the wonderfully organic "look" of the original. This is an impeccably-preserved example, surely in the top few percent of the condition spectrum, that is certain to delight even the most discriminating collector. I hope the buyer will enjoy having this in their collection as much as I have over the last 15 years or so. I will genuinely miss it.
