Description: German (likely) steel plate engraving - Arcadian woodland scene depicting two men conversing with soldier; trimmed to plate; unknown artist. Late 18th - early 19th C. sheet 12 x 16". Image in very good age appropriate condition; some slight scuffing; small tear lower center margin, 1 1/2" tear left margin, both repaired with archival mending tape, plate largely unaffected. A few pin holes top third of sheet. not detectable unless held up to light.
