Description: This is a rare February, 1971 issue of Galaxy includes George R.R. Martin's first professional story story publication, THE HERO. Also includes Theodore Sturgeon's novellete, THE REFLECTED MEN. The editorial discusses SF horror. I'm not a professional grader so please see the copious pics. This has a good solid spine. The front cover is fully attached. There are signs of minor wear to the cover, and a one inch rip to the back cover viewable in the pics. Interior paper quality is good, indicating this has been stored out of the light for most of its 50+ years. There's some dark smudge staining on the title page which appears caused by an black illustration a couple pages later that uses a lot of black ink. Otherwise, it's a nice solid copy. For the three years it's been in my collection, it has lived in a poly bag in a dark box. I'm downsizing my personal collection to one copy each. I'm listing several other pulps and pulp lots. Bagged with painter's tape, which I find is safer to use around pulps.
