The main body is cast metal and brass with a antiqued bronze finishThis is a substantial lamp - it weighs nearly 15 pounds and is 27-5/8 inches tall to the top of socket; the lamp stands approx. 33 inches H with shade in place. The base is just over 5.25 inches square. Shade is marked “Stiffel” and stands approx. 6 in. H x 8 in. Diameter. Lamp works perfectly and is in Excellent used condition with just some light oxidation to brass column that supports the shade.The Townley Vase is a large Roman marble vase of the 2nd century CE, discovered in 1773 by the Scottish antiquarian and dealer in antiquities Gavin Hamilton, found while excavating a Roman villa at Monte Cagnolo.
