The elastic waist does have some elastic to it, but I feel that it is not as good as it was when it was new, I do think this has stretched out some, but still does have some elasticity. Please review the measurement pictures as not all Brands are the same and I want this to be a great fit for you. There are 2 pictures of the waist measurement one is without any stretch and the 2nd is with pulling on the waist a little to show there is still some stretch left in this beautiful skirt.
