Description: Extremely RARE Swastika Hotel Yucca New Mexico Matchbook from 1928-1938. This is so rare I have never seen one except in a single picture. Constructed by the Swastika Coal Company, a local branch of St. Louis, Rocky Mountain and Pacific Coal Company, the former S wastika Hotel is the tallest structure in Raton. Built in 1928-1929, the building and company name had yet to develop its negative association. During World War II when the Nazi Party adopted the symbol, the name of the building was changed to the Yucca Hotel in 1939. This is in excellent condition with one small stain on front. Ohio Matchbook Company St Louis MO. This is a very rare and unusual piece for any collection. See pictures for condition.
