Description: This is a vintage divided back postcard, unposted and featuring a view of the Empire State Express passing through Syracuse, New York. The Empire State Express locomotive was a named passenger train and flagship of the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad. The postcard depicts the train as it passes through Syracuse. Visible are several pedestrians, bicycle and old vintage cars. Note the billboard in the background advertising W.D. Andrews Athletic goods who was a distributor of Victor Phonographs. The iconic Nipper the Dog is visible on the billboard. Postcard published by American News Company and was one of the Americhrome series.
