ECCENTRIC ARTIST WALDO PEIRCE WATERCOLOR PAINTING BANGOR MAINE 1935

Description: Painting depicting a study of figures at a coastal setting done using watercolor paints and pencil on paper by eccentric American artist Waldo Peirce (1884-1970). The painting is signed by Peirce on the lower right corner along with the date of 1935. The signature and date are faded but on the reverse side of the cardboard backing in bold ink is his signature along with 'Bangor Maine'. Approximate visible painting dimensions to the mat are 13.5"h x 10"w. There is a 3/4" tear and two 1/2" tears at the top of the painting. There is a crease on the lower right corner between the signature and the date. Please see images for condition details.
