Description: Pictured is a novel figural tobacco humidor offered for sale. The small covered storage container is overglazed in a dark chocolate brown Albany slip glaze. The highly detailed embossed figure has a casual appearance of W. C. Fields, however it's not a look-a-like of the comedian. The figure has sharp, crisp detail, amazingly it has survived with its original top hat cover. It measures 5 3/8" in overall height & dates from 1905 - 1920. It's in superb condition with a tiny 1/8" nick/sliver at the base edge, see Pic #1 & 2. There is a pencil mark on the underside. The image has similarities to the monk/friar humidor produced by Western Monmouth Stoneware Co. in Illinois. It has great eye-appeal, he'll make you smile....
