Description: Payment | Shipping | Policies Early 20th Century Oil On Panel By Ludwig Valenta (1882-1943) Beautifully executed oil on panel of a gentleman in his library by famed and listed Austrian artist Ludwig Valenta. Dressed in 18th century style clothing, and writing with a quill pen, he is seated at a table covered in a tapestry. There is a Persian rug on the floor, and other tapestries on the wall, and used as drapery in front of the bookcase. A large globe and folio sit in the foreground. Executed by Ludwig Valenta in the early 20th century, and signed lower left. The reverse side carries the label from Louis Wolff & Co., when it was located at 245 Tottenham Court Road in London. In excellent condition. Some very fine crazing to portions of the surface. The frame is in excellent condition as well. The frame measures 9" x 11" and the painting is 6" x 8".
