The “tube grip” (as Dyson call it) together with its retaining clip for the DC15 has been unavailable (obsolete) from Dyson for some time now. On early Dyson DC15′s, this little tube sits at the top of the wand and it is the bit you fit your tools onto. Inevitably, when people use the wand on their Dyson DC15 long term, this top becomes worn and looks very shabby. Often times, it simply comes off and gets lost. Sometimes the retaining clip breaks. On later DC15′s, Dyson redesigned the wand to do away with the two-part wand collar (tube grip) and made it integral. You MUST read the tutorial linked below if your machine is the later one. Originally, they came in various colours. Despite any colour differences, fitment remains the same. As you can see, the new ones come in dark steel so they compliment any colour variant of machine. However, if you are practically inclined, you can also fit these to the later type wand with the moulded red top. There is a tutorial on our forums that shows you how to do that (ask us for a link).
