I just obtained a gigantic personal collection of Magic DVDs from a magician who has accumulated them over 2+ decades. And I already had bought a big wholesale close-out of DVDs from my supplier. So, I am up to my knees in DVDs! Literally! I need to find good homes for all the DVD's in this collection, so I will be listing them with little or no description. But check out the photos of the DVD case blurbs, and do a little research online for price and content, and you can get some great deals on these DVDs. I have quickly checked that they load and play, but can't take the time to watch them all and give my opinion/review. FROM OLD TO NEW vols 1, 2, 3, and 4 THE WHOLE SET OF FOUR DVDs. by DOMINIQUE DUVIVIER (2004-2007)If you are not familiar with the magic of French close-up magician, Dominique Duvivier... well, you should be. And these four DVDs are a great way to see a wide range of his creativity and offbeat presentations.On this set of FOUR DVDs, issued by Duvivier's magic company (Mayette Magie Moderne) over the course of three years (2004 to 2007), he demonstrates and teaches over 50 routines, mostly cards, but also some of his innovative coin and coin box magic, and even a few close-up mental effects.Too many great routines for me to pick out highlights for you -- See the photos of the back of the DVD cases for more details on what you learn on the four DVDs. He performs and explains in French, with his beautiful daughter doing real-time voice over translation in English. The translation voice over is well done -- easy to understand and not intrusive as you watch the demos and explanations.Two minor caveats -- the menu navigation on these discs is pretty rudimentary, but that is a minor inconvenience. The magic is well worth digging around on the menus. And on disc 3, Duvivier teaches his really excellent improved handling of John Cornelius' really excellent "My First Card Trick". The DVD case label says that the photos needed to make the props are included on the DVD, but I could not find these photo files. I think they forgot to include them. Another inconvenience, but shooting your photos for the effect is much easier now (16 years later) with digital photo editing technology so vastly improved and available now.Retail on these DVDs was $35 for each one when released. My online search today only turned up availability for all four, with a total price of $108. So you could spend that much, and have to buy them separately from three different sellers.... Or you can get all four right here, and for much less than $108, too. :-) CONDITION: previously owned, but in excellent condition -- discs and dvd cases/labels are as new. And of course, they are authentic Mayette product -- no bootlegs sold here!!!! EVER! Shipping costs hints:USA ADDRESSES First DVD (singles) has postage of $3.95. But if you buy more that one, postage drops significantly on combined shipments. eBay checkout should calculate about $1.30 for each additional single DVD. If you buy a number of DVDs I will refund excess, since shipping cost goes down to about 50 cents per additional DVD after you get 5 or more. Best to put a bunch in your cart, and use the Request Total from Seller option, I will invoice you at the proper shipping cost.NON - USA ADDRESSES -- shipping rate for one DVD is as posted. A second DVD pushes the package weight into "2nd tier" international postage. However, that 2nd tier postage can cover up to SEVEN DVD's in the package for the same rate as two.
