Description: "Wicked Impressions" INCREDIBLE model horse done by two rare, no longer sculpting or painting model horse artists - Sarah Johnson and Nathan Ball. This is a Breyer Classic "Sagr" that has been dramatically re-sculpted and detailed. He is a gelding, and I believe he has the tail and mane of a traditional Breyer Clock Horse, but it's been altered to fit the classic scale. Re-sculpted face, ears, hooves, neck, muscles, muzzle, genitalia, and repositioned and re-sculpted legs so that he looks like he's picking up a lazy trot. Great range of bay shading and detailed, multi-colored glossed eyes. Glossed hooves with growth rings and glossed, flared pink nostrils. Sculpted vein details on the face and body. The Breyer "breathing hole" in his nostril has been filled relocated to underneath his belly so the model can still withstand temperature changes. Stands well and is stable. Most of the re-sculpting was by Nathan, but Sarah stripped his old paint job, prepped him better, and repainted him in 2008. He is signed by her underneath his belly with her initials/studio name. Sarah only ever did a handful of models that often received NAN championships, so this is a rare opportunity. This model did also have a stack of expired NAN cards back in the day. The model has some minor flaws (see last two photos) from someone accidentally knocking him over: first, there is a spot of at the base of the tail that has a little bit of a paint chip/bay color missing. It's a pretty small area, thankfully. The second is there is a little white mark/rub over one nostril, and above the horse's eye. These should be easy and cheap fixes, but needed to be noted. I tried to take pictures and a video to make the damage a little clearer. *** Please note: I am aware that eBay sellers often don't ship model horses responsibly so please do not worry: I'm a responsible model horse shipper.
