Description: Charming nearly 18" Antique Kathe Kruse Wide Hip No. 1 doll, circa early 1900's. Can't imagine the stories he could tell. He has his original face and hair paint and his original very sturdy firm wide hip stuffed body that moves really well with moving limbs. He does have a repair on his neck that I can see and also repair on his feet but otherwise that’s it. He has some paint loss to his features but I think it gives him a lot of character. His clothing is sewn on to him but I removed so you could see his body. His clothing consists of an old wool red and white striped sweater and red wool lined pants. I don't know if this is original clothing but it fits him perfectly. I’m sure the vintage under shirt is not original. His cotton underpants are old and made of cotton with red white and blue stripe on the side.
