It measures approximately 18 inches (from underarm seam to underarm seam), about 23 inches from back collar stitching to bottom, and is in fair condition, as there is a little discoloration on the collar… After starring as an All-American quarterback at the University of Pittsburgh, Marino joined the Dolphins in 1983 and became the NFL Rookie of the Year. In the 1984–85 season, when he passed for a record 5,084 yards, he was the league’s most valuable player. One of the game’s most proficient passers, Marino, who played his entire career with the Dolphins, broke (1995) the lifetime records held by Fran Tarkenton for total passing yardage, completions, and touchdown passes. Marino holds a variety of other career and season passing records but never quarterbacked a winning Super Bowl team. He retired in 2000 and began a career as a sportscaster. Dan Marino's Town Tavern first opened in Central Florida in 1998 at the then-new Pointe Orlando, which was troubled from the start. As a result, Marino’s venue closed in the early 2000s. He then moved to the new Veranda Park development in MetroWest.
