Description: Copper Chef Induction Cooktop and Pot w/Lid. Both BARELY UNUSED CONDITIONS. I printed Instruction paperwork I didn't have original. My pictures show the several heating options, PLUS you can set your desired temps. Can set cook timing. My pictures show simmering water to maintain temp. I used 175'f and a digital thermo. To boil water I used the SEAR setting to quickly get there. Induction is fast to heat via magnetics, but you still need to monitor and adjust as needed. There is a learning curve to using Induction satisfactorily. Your pan needs to be able to attract a magnet at the base. Your chosen pot or pan needs to have a flush bottom for full contact. The digital "setting" is only a range. Actual temps will vary, hence the reason why you still need to supervise your cooking and culinary skills, as with any other cooking method. The surface does get warm during cooking but I recorded surface perimeter temps to about 95'. When you lift your cooking pan off, the heat stops until the pan is returned. The heating still cycles similar to an electric cook top.....heat...off....heat...off....heat.....to maintain cooking temp. Induction Cook Tops can also be used to keep warm on a buffet table as low as 100'f. They have time settings up to all day long for slow simmer, fat rendering, or broth making. Love it!! But it needs a new home. Smoke/Pet free home. I only ship to Continental USA Addresses via USPS, or maybe UPS in a bind. Sorry for the USPS and other's bloated rates nowadays. Not my fault!!!
