Publisher's antiquarian cloth bindings, gilt title lettering with ornaments, blind embossed cover & spine decorations. Set is physically old and shows some clear signs of handling and time. Bindings age worn but still appealing, boards rubbed, cloth split along joints, spine ends frayed, remains overall attractive as a physical set of this era. Text block paper is age toned as typical, moderate foxing throughout, still mostly tight and sound. A set which has been taken care of but does not look like a new book. This is an antique old book which has been handled over the past many decades. Still attractive on the shelf.
