The very bottom sole is made of a black solid piece of rubber with good tread, and this makes for a sturdy, non-breakable heel with a measurement of 1.5" high with a surround of approximately 1/2" giving a bit of height without losing stability. The original plastic labels are still on the bottom soles. The stitching is solid, and the leather looks very good, thick straps that are durable and solidly in place with wonderfully stitched design in a western fashion. The addition of the open toe area and strappy design ensures air flow and comfort and adds a classy fun-look to these comfort sandals which will be certain to bring compliments.
