The more detailed parts are printed onto the foam. All the pieces have adhesive backing, so do not require glue. The letters for "Heart Is" are put on one at a time, so it may be a little too complicated for a really young child, but with close supervision and assistance, they could probably do a good job. The three glittered red hears on the roofs really add a very festive touch and the whole color scheme of it is very bright and cheerful.
