Description: Chinese Dragon 3 Piece Tea Set Sterling Silver Hung Chong 19th Century 19th century Chinese Export silver three-piece tea set, including teapot, creamer and covered two-handles sugar bowl, decorated with applied three-toed dragon figure around the body with a round plaque on the front and having hollow bamboo design handles, finials and spout. All pieces are inscribed on the plaque: "To Mr. A. J. H. Carey from Shell Co's Purchasing Dept. Chinese Staff". Made by Hung Chong of Canton & Shanghai c. 1860-1890s. This outstanding set measures: Teapot is 5 7/8" tall and 10" across the handle and the spout, Sugar bowl is 4 1/2" tall and 6 3/4" across the handles, Creamer is 6" from the handle to the spout and 3 1/4" tall. Total weight is 992 grams or 32 ozs Troy. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
