The Tattoo Orbit card set consists of 60 cards measuring 2" by 2¼".On the Player - Charles John Grimm (1898-1983): Nicknamed "Jolly Cholly", Charlie Grimm was a popular and outgoing first baseman, primarily for the Chicago Cubs. He also spent time as a radio sports commentator, and a manager. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, to parents of German heritage, Charlie Grimm was known for being personable and talkative. Grimm is one of a small number of individuals who have played and managed in over 2,000 games. As a player, in 2,166 games over 20 seasons, Grimm posted a slash line of .290/.341/.397. Grimm managerial record is 1,287 wins and 1,067 losses. His 946 wins as a Cubs manager rank second behind Cap Anson. After his death in 1983, Grimm’s widow scattered his ashes over his beloved Wrigley Field.
