CAMBRIDGE GLASS #1356 2 CANDLE CANDELABRAS W/ BOBECHES & ALL PRISMS RARE PAIR

Description: Very rare pair of crystal clear elegant glass 2-candle candelabras with bobeches and prisms made by Cambridge Glass Co. The ware # according to my reference books is #1356. It is hard to find one candelabra in this style much less a pair with all their accessory pieces and in excellent condition. To describe: each candelabra has a center tall finial with a diamond point-like pattern. The center is flanked by two long arms with scrollwork, topped by two taper candle holders. The bobeche attaches to the candle holder with a notch and then turns so it doesn't slide off the candle holder and catches all the wax. Hanging from each bobeche are 8 two-piece prisms held in place with secure wires. Not a piece is missing from either side. The height of each candelabra is about 7" at the highest point (the bobeches); the center finial part is about 6" tall. From arm to arm the spread is about 12", so they are quite large. The scalloped base of each candelabra measures about 6" wide by 5" deep and the bases are heavy with polished bottoms. Best of all, I felt all around and could not find a chip or crack; there is a small area of roughness I could feel on the edge of the scroll of one arm, and may have missed another, but nothing you could see. This outstanding pair of candelabras will make quite a statement on your dining room table.
