It also adds a clear layer of protection for the front element of a lens with resistance coating that repels dirt and water and protects against scratches and abrasions. The filter is made of precision German optical glass, each side featuring 7 layers of Broadband coating for high contrast pictures with minimal residual reflection and a uniform light transmission level of 99.5%.The brass filter ring features an enhanced knurling pattern for improved grip and a special functional coating for smooth mounting and dismounting.
