Description: British Pattern 1796 Style Light Cavalry Troopers Sword with Scabbard. Blade is marked "WAR", small "TD", "WE", "CASE". The grip, guard, and pommel are all tight. The grip leather is 80% complete. There is surface rust on the knuckleguard and backstrap. The blade is straight, has been lightly sharpened, some nicks, and has age spots with some pitting scattered throughout. The scabbard is solid with a couple dings, and has pitting with surface rust scattered throughout. Washer is missing. Length of the blade measures 30 1/2" (1 5/16" wide x 3/8" thick spine), length of the sword is 35 3/16", and in the scabbard it is 36 1/2". The last picture is a description of this type of sword.
